With holiday travel, busy school schedules, and the colder months ahead, the flu season is upon us! We know how quickly the flu can spread in our communities, so staying ahead is key.

We encourage families to get the flu vaccine to help protect themselves and our communities. We will be offering a flu clinic for the community. More information to come! Until then, remember to wash your hands frequently and cover coughs/sneezes. If your child is sick, keep them home to rest. If you have any questions, please reach out to me or refer to the school website under “School Nursing Services.”

Stay healthy!

Vision and Hearing Screenings

I will be conducting screenings starting in October for Kindergarten, 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 7th graders. The screenings are simple and only take a few minutes to complete. Throughout the year, I will continue to conduct screenings for the rest of the students. If you would like your child to opt out of these screenings, please send me an email.

A circular badge with a white edge and the text "National School Public Relations Association". The inner circle has a blue background with the text "Publications and Digital Media Excellence Award". The bottom of the badge has a ribbon with the year 2025 in the middle of it, and just below this ribbon it has the text "Award of Merit Website".

We’re excited to share that DoDEA has won the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) Publications and Digital Media Excellence Award – Website Award of Merit for our School Newsletters Project! This NSPRA award honors outstanding school communication efforts that help connect schools with their communities. This wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication of our amazing school webmasters. Thank you for keeping families connected with your hard work and heart!
