K-1 Students Visit Darby Post Office

Students in Ms. Rosa's K/1 class at Livorno Elementary School have been delving into the concepts of wants and needs, as well as goods and services. As part of their learning experience, the young students recently visited the Camp Darby Post Office to gain firsthand knowledge of how the postal service operates.
During their visit, the post office staff explained how they provide an essential service to the base by shipping letters and packages worldwide. The students had the opportunity to sort mail, process incoming packages, and take a behind-the-scenes tour of the facility.
This educational trip not only reinforced the students' understanding of goods and services but also gave them a practical insight into the workings of the post office. The hands-on experience was both informative and engaging, leaving the students with a deeper appreciation for the services that support their community.
