LEMS Middle Schoolers Visit Italy's 46th Brigata in Pisa

Middle school students from Livorno EMS recently embarked on an exciting educational field trip to the 46th Brigata Aerea in Pisa, offering a unique glimpse into the world of aviation and emergency services.
During the visit, students toured the prestigious Italian Air Force base, where they had the opportunity to explore the inner workings of military aviation. A highlight of the day was testing the static flight simulator for the C-130 aircraft, giving students a hands-on experience of piloting one of the Air Force’s most iconic transport planes. They also climbed aboard the C-27, gaining insight into the aircraft’s design and operational capabilities.
The field trip continued with a visit to the Vigili del Fuoco (Italian Fire Brigade), where students learned about fire safety and emergency response. Under the guidance of trained professionals, they even got to operate the powerful water cannons, adding a splash of excitement to the day.
The experience was both educational and inspiring, offering students a rare opportunity to engage with Italy’s military and emergency services in a dynamic, interactive setting.
