What an awesome week at LEMS. The students were able to have some experiential learning through study trips this past week. It was great to see the excitement and curiosity they displayed. Some even went into great detail on their experience in explaining it to me.

Our school play, Alice in Wonderland, was a remarkable success! Our little thespians performed with great ease and displayed poise as if they had been acting for years. They worked extremely hard with Ms. Boyanowski to ensure they gave the best performance possible. Even our youngest were involved in the production as butterflies. A big thank you to all who helped with the set, costumes, and directing. Thank you, parents, for the support of your children.  The gym was packed with proud parents.

Thanks to the PTSO for providing some delicious treats before and after the production.

We are slowly getting some results from our DACS summative assessments. When they become available, we will share them with you.

As we prepare the schedule for the next school year, a course selection survey was sent out to all the upcoming middle schoolers.  Please remind your child to look/fill out the survey in their Google Classroom account.

Please don’t forget, May 22 is field day for the students.  Please ensure students are wearing sunscreen and have a labeled water bottle.  Please make sure students dress appropriately, as they will be getting wet.   You may also send a change of clothes for after field day, if you'd like.

Have a great week.

Visitors and Volunteers

For the protection of students and staff, all visitors must report to the school’s front office immediately upon arriving at the school. A visitor is any person (to include parents, sponsors, and legal guardians) not enrolled or assigned to the school requesting entry to the building.

Visitors must provide authorized identification to gain access to the DoDEA school. The visitor will be issued a visitor badge that must be displayed above the waist while on DoDEA school property. The school administrator has the final determination on visitors authorized to be at the school. While on DoDEA school property, visitors may go only to the approved area indicated as their destination when signing in at the school’s front office. Any change to the designated location must be approved by the school’s front office before the visitor can access a different location within the school. When leaving the school, visitors must sign out and return the visitor's badge to the school’s front office.

Classroom Observations

Parents are welcome to visit the school and classrooms to observe the school’s programs for brief periods of time that do not interfere with instruction. Approval by the school administrator is required for this type of visitation.
